Imagen y conocimiento. Las humanidades en el escenario digital contemporáneo

Nos alegra anunciar la realización de las VII Jornadas de Antropología e Imagen. Este año dedicadas a la reflexión crítica sobre humanidades digitales, tecnologías emergentes e interdisciplinariedad en contextos de investigación y creación. La incorporación crítica de lo digital abre nuevas posibilidades para el desarrollo de metodologías, capaces de articular saberes diversos, expandir los métodos de investigación y proponer nuevas formas de creación y comunicación de la ciencia.
Contaremos con la presencia de equipos de investigación de Chile, Uruguay, Argentina, Polonia y España que presentarán sus proyectos así como talleres de fotogrametría, arqueología digital, Realidad Virtual, Comunicación pública de la ciencia, fotografía y patrimonio.
¿Por qué pensar lo digital desde las Humanidades?
Las humanidades digitales han transformado radicalmente la manera en que producimos, visualizamos y compartimos el conocimiento. La incorporación de tecnologías emergentes como la realidad virtual, la realidad aumentada, los ambientes digitales, el video 360º, la visualización avanzada de datos, el modelado 3D, la fotogrametría y los modelos de aprendizaje profundo, no solo introduce nuevas herramientas, sino que obliga a replantear críticamente los métodos de investigación, los enfoques de análisis y las estrategias de comunicación científica. También supone repensar lo que entendemos por interdisciplinariedad.
This new scenario is not limited to a technological update: it implies a real paradigm that transforms the ways of generating, organising and communicating knowledge. Interactive visualisation, experimentation with mixed realities and collaborative digital environments promote new relationship dynamics between researchers, audiences and study materials.
In this context, the humanities do not only adopt digital technologies: they critically integrate them, questioning their scope, limitations and ethical, cultural and social implications. Thinking about the digital from the humanities is today an essential task in order to understand how technologies shape our ways of seeing, knowing and inhabiting the world. At the same time, the critical incorporation of the digital opens up new possibilities for the development of interdisciplinary methodologies, capable of articulating diverse knowledge, expanding research methods and proposing new ways of creating and communicating science.
In this sense, the conference will offer a space for reflection and debate through thematic round tables, workshops and conferences, with the participation of research teams from our Faculty and special guests, who will share their experiences, projects and perspectives on the contemporary challenges of digital humanities.
